Friends of the Earth 40th Anniversary Video

Friends of the Earth held their 40th Anniversary Green Ball in San Francisco on May 15, 2009. Joe Digital wrote, directed and produced the anniversary video, which premiered at the event and will be used as a marketing tool for future FOE fundraising. The video can be viewed here.

Friends of the Earth is led by Brent Blackwelder, an environmental advocate for more than 40 years. Its dedicated staff fight to protect the rights of all people to live in a safe and healthy environment, both at home or in countries around the world. Our campaigns demonstrate our belief that the fight for justice and the movement to protect the health of the planet are part of the same struggle.

Friends of the Earth U.S. is also a part of Friends of the Earth International, the world’s largest grassroots environmental network. Friends of the Earth International unites 77 national member groups and some 5,000 local activist groups on every continent. Friends of the Earth’s International Program Director, Elizabeth Bast, is currently serving on the Executive Committee, which is the governing body of the network.
